When I first read an article about this book, I figured that with some minor variation of the vocabulary, it could easily be used to apply to those on dole of the welfare state.
As for that, in the times when I met those on the dole regularly, many did exhibit a maturity little more than that of a young teen, full of the entitlement mentality.
